I live with my wonderful wife and best friend (Suzette), our Senior at Valley (Candace), our “ready to drive” son (Cameron), two lovely daughters (Caroline and Caitlyn) and our sweet baby boy (Caiden). We have no pets (yet), but the family is begging me for a puppy.

I grew up in Amherst Township public schools and graduated from the First Baptist Christian School in Elyria, Ohio in 1986. I graduated in 1990 from Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. While a student at college, I worked with and ministered to inner-city youth in Chicago, Illinois. For nine years I served in various positions at the Oaks Community Church (formerly the Calvary Heights Baptist Church) in Baton Rouge, LA. While at “The Oaks”, I served as a school teacher and administrative assistant, missions conference coordinator, middle school youth pastor, communications pastor, outreach pastor, and single adult pastor.

My wife and family, authentic mexican food, a good book, a “to do” list, the internet, a community of teenagers, and a forgiving Savior!

| Hope To Someday |

See many teenagers trust Christ and grow in close relationship with Him, write a book, travel with my wife to Italy, still see my children and their children growing as strong Christians.

| If I Were In Charge Of Heaven |

I would prepare a special flower and bird garden for my mom, create a beautiful mansion for my wife equipped with all the things I was not able to give her on earth, have an amusement park with great coasters waiting for me and “my teens” to have a big “welcome home” party!

Read and “do” student ministry, spend time with my wife, prepare and plan youth events, eat out, go to the movies, spend time alone with God on the beach.

Google, book store, at home on the couch, out to eat, in Pastor Chris’ office gaining bundles of wise advice.
